How to Get Started

What’s the difference between Klarna Checkout and Klarna Payments?

Klarna as your single payment provider keeps everything under one roof. You’ll have one agreement, one point of contact, one settlement file, one payout with Klarna Checkout. It only takes a single integration to deliver the full Klarna hosted checkout experience through a widget placed on your site.

Klarna Payments removes the headaches of payments, for both consumers and merchants. Complement your checkout with a Klarna hosted widget located in your existing checkout which offers payment options for customers with a smooth user experience.

I like the design and credibility it adds to my site. Connecting this with the add-ons for Klarna makes the customer journey more smooth and easy for us to complete the order. Had some problems which was caused by a plug in, asked both Klarna and the developer Krokedil for help. Their response was swift, professional and helpful. Thank you!

This is a well coded plugin with great support that handles everything a large (thousands of orders a day) store can throw at it. Any problems are swiftly taken care of by the great team at Krokedil.

...But Klarna isn't. They have problems in their end and it took over an hour before the merchant support would admit they had no idea what the problem is and reluctantly delegated my issue to their technical support. Shameful display. This plugin works as intended and has very clear instructions, I only wish I could've used it. Keep up the good work Krokedil!

Doesn't work with my WordPress installation 4.0.1. The entire woocommerce dashboard loads forever, and spits out errors. Tried disabling other plugins, so it's a direct conflict between woocommerce and WooCommerce Klarna Gateway 2.5.4.

Changelog

2024.03.12 – version 2.12.1

  • Fix – Bumped the plugin version.

2024.01.29 – version 2.12.0

  • Feature – Added a new checkout flow: redirect. The redirect flow replaces the current embedded checkout, and redirects the customer to Klarna’s hosted payment page (“HPP”). Please refer to our documentation on how to enable this setting.

2024.01.08 – version 2.11.7

  • Enhancement – Improved performance when redirecting to confirmation page.
  • Tweak – If the template fails to load, the customer will now be notified about the reason. This should no longer prevent the customer from picking a different payment gateway when KCO is the default gateway.

2023.12.06 – version 2.11.6

  • Fix – Added a check to ensure that a Klarna order is always, at most, processed once. This should prevent accidental order re-processing.

  • Tweak – Removed the settings tab from the “Klarna Add-ons” page because its functionalities have been transferred to the plugin.
